LARGEMOUTH BASS SIZE LIMIT REMOVED AT YORK RECHARGE LAKE

NE GPC

Lincoln, Neb. -- The Game and Parks Commission has rescinded the 15-inch minimum size limit on largemouth bass at the York Recharge Lake, about 1.5-miles west of York, according to Game and Parks Commission Fisheries Division Administrator Don Gabelhouse.

The 49-acre structure will soon be renovated by the Commission and the Upper Big Blue NRD to eliminate the present population of common carp. The lake will be restocked with sport fish in 2003, Gabelhouse said.

The size limit removal will allow anglers to keep any size of bass they catch from the lake prior to the renovation.
