Hello Fellow Hunters,

Is anyone a member of Mr. Hamilton's Game Ranch in Lockwood, Ca? If so, what is your feedback on the club.

Thank You.

It's been discussed here before. Lots of problems with not being able to hunt on certain days, no pigs. And the last one was about a customer that thought he was hunting on land he paid to hunt, but the real owner threatened to have him arrested for tresspassing. BEWARE

Bishop hit the nail on the head. I'm sorry to hear (but not suprised at all) that this jerk is still on the streets. If this is the same Larry Hamilton that advertises (or used to advertise) in the WON for stuff like $640 for (4) guys for a 1 year lease access to private ranches around Cambria and Paso Robles, this guy is definitely a SCAM artist and leases land that he does NOT have hunting rights to hunt on.

We suspected this and found out a few months after ponying up the money to him that many locals know this guy very well for leasing out land that he has no rights to. This confirmation came from good friends of ours who own the private property (where we currently go pig hunting) just outside of Paso Robles.

P.S. If Larry has given you a reference of a guy named Ron who lives down in Brea, who shot a 400lb. sow last year on one of his pieces of property, the shooting of the hog part is true, the piece of his property part is not true, and this would definitely be the Scammer.

If that's the case, or sounds like it, do yourself a big favor and stay away from this guy and also please spread the word. I don't know how he's gotten away with it for so long (and still keeps at it).

Hey Guy's:
I'm new to this forum, but REAL familiar with Larry Hamilton's tricks. He operated in Parkfield like the other gentleman said, My family has a ranch in parkfield. My brother did $12,000
in tractor work for him, he said he did not have the money, after the work was done, so he said he'd set up some hunting for them, my brother told him we didn't need deer or pig hunting, but some pheasant
hunts would be acceptable, plus said he had a old backhoe he'd give my brother. well, it turned out the backhoe wasn't his, my brother drove, or attempted to drive it to our ranch, got pulled over, and almost
got arrested for stealing the backhoe. Needless to say, there's some harsh feelings towards him. Now, he's out of Parkfield, operating in San Ardo, and some corrections officers I know bought in on his deal,
and no hunt for three years. All I can say is STAY AWAY!!! There's some real repuitle guides in that area, one is myself, but no ranch right now. If you guy's are interested in a pig hunt, go to my profile, and
get my e-mail, I know most of the guides in that area. Any other questions, where, when, what caliber, any of that stuff, let me know, been hog hunting all my life.

Thanks, shoot straight! Steve( Cahogwild)

Ruth used to raise pheasants and chukar and sold him quite a few for his club in Parkfield. I understand she didn't get paid for all of them. I belonged to that club for a year, got a few pheasant hunts in but was denied more times than I went. I tried it there for pigs, too - saw a few does and fawns but no pigs, at least on his ranch. I went back to Bub and Ruth's and shot lots of hogs.

No one in and around Parkfield has anything good to say about Larry Hamilton.
Came close to buying in on his bs. myself. He wanted a check mailed but just seemed to flaky.

pic below is NOT at any Hamilton property.

I've been taken twice by this scammer. First time was when he had his place in Parkfield, the one with the mossed-over smimming pool. Saw no signs of hogs and it was an absolute pain in the arse to get ahold of him to book a hunt. I went to eat lunch there at the Parkfield Inn and all the locals that were there told me that I had been scammed.
Then last year I saw him advertising for some pig hunting just outside of Lockwood. My friend and I dished out $250 each for the pig hunting package. Every time I called he said that there were no pigs, but to call back in a couple of weeks. I finally convinced him to allow us to just check out the property. What a joke it was. The property was tiny, there was no water and no food for the pigs. We didn't see a single sign of pigs on the entire property. I then spent all afternoon trying to contact him to complain, but he was nowhere to be found.
I've been taken twice by this piece of sh!t and I hope that nobody else falls for his scam.....Beware and stay away from Larry Hamilton!! Can we report him to the DFG to get his guiding license taken away?
By the way, does anyone have his current advertised phone number, I'd like to call him and tell him what a a-hole he is.

I appreciate the information re: Larry Hamilton's operation. I have yet to experience any negative experiences with Mr. Hamilton's operation. I have never had any problems getting a hold of him; he has always returned my phone calls in a timely fashion. Scheduling has been ok by my standard; there has been times that he has been booked, but that is going have to be understood considering that there are other members. As for pigs, I have seen fresh signs of pigs everytime I have been to the ranch. Although, I have not had an oportunity for a shot yet.

Thanks Gents.

That's weird. The only guy that is giving positive feedback, is the same guy that started this thread, asking for feedback, and giving thanks for the negative feedback.

In actuality, it is not the negative feedback I am thanking you for, it is the honesty behind the messages.
