Here is a pic of a little 40 lber I took last weekend.
There were a group of 3 in a field eating whatever the farmer had just tilled up.

It was the first "big"( I know he's not that big) game animal that I have taken with the new .270
and only my second pig ever.

I took this one because he's had the cool spots on him.
I hit him in the spine which was not good because I ruined a lot of the meat on him, when there wasn't much to begin with.

next time I recomend a head shot for much less meat waistage.

Way to go, John. Fresh pork in the freezer and a happy farmer too.

The shot may not have been optimal, but you got your critter.

Geez, with all those turkey beards hanging up in the background, it's no wonder you've only had time to take 2 pigs. Nice job!!
