I'm don't know how to judge a bear very well but I got 6 pictures of this bear on my last roll.  He seems to be hanging out in the same area and I'm beginning to think my den needs a bear skin rug.  What do you think.  Remember bears in WV don't get as big as those brutes in Canada.

Looks like it would make a nice rug.  From what I can tell looks to be a young bear yet.

looks a little young but not too bad. I was looking at his back even with the height of the trees.

nice pic's wvhunter,

hope you don't mind as i made a copy of your pic and then done some enhancing of the photo to see the bear a bit better
i zoomed in on the bear then lightened it up some

the bear looks to be a young bear from the size of his ears and front paw size

if you want this enhanced photo i could send it to you by e-mail

Later,

Just based off a few I've taken and the size of his back foot to the surrounding veg. I'd go 225 to 250 lbs. dressed weight.

Lets just start a pool and you can tell us in October

Those are nice pictures, to say the least. I've been meaning to get a cam for a while now, and will have one for sure this spring when I'm ready to bait black bears.

But if that is an average bear for your area, then I would take him!
