Hi Guys:

I'm new to this board.  You have more information on more rangefinders than any place I have seen.  The information is great.

Does anyone have any information about the Leica Vektor?  Rumour has it that its a replacement for the Geovid.  Other rumour has it that its the next step up (in both price and quality).

What's the real story?

Thank you very much.

Blue Angel, welcome to the forum. From what I can find out the Vector is a military version of the Geovid. Here is a post from Matt in Virginia about the Vector.

I had a chance to use a Leica Vector awhile back. It's essentially a Geovid without the restrictions on laser output. As in it's not eye safe. If it were only available for civilian sale.
