I can't seem to decided which bino to get. I was think of getting the leupold wind river Mesa series or the Nikon monarch ATB's. Reading on JHO I have found that monarch have a good rating, one thing that holds me back is the focusing and the warranty, while the leupold has a locking focus and limited lifetime warranty. I guess my question is which one whould you guys pick? I havn't had both of them with me to compare so I can't judge on them, so I thought I ask JHO.

The mesa is kind of on the heavy side, 33 oz, but its like 80-90 dollars cheaper than the monarch. Do I have have any other options for good binos around $200-300 range? Thanks in advance

ok, after talking with a few people, I decided to go with the Monarchs. Where is a good place to pick one up?

Bearbasin.com or cabelas. Good choice by the way.

I have had the Monarchs for several years, for the price they are good. I did have a problem once with them when the center focus broke, sent it back to Nikon and they fixed it right up.

I also went with the Nikon Monachs ATB 10x42s
they are real nice have great light gathering qualities, coated glass etc and can take a beating too, I compared them or 45 minutes against a pair of Savorskis and couldn't find a fault in the ATBs.
I got mine new in E-bay for $225! Cabelas,Eaders and Bass Pro all want $

280 plus for the same unit. Mine came from a "buy it now" and they had a dozen of them, its a New York Camera store.
