Light Genie

Hi. I want to start out by thanking everyone for this great site.  Its awsome!!  I need a little help (I am a electronic idiot).  I purchased a light genie and had a friend build Tinhorn's 2 stage timer. The light genie seems to work backwards when you cover up the light sensor it sends 9 volts thru it but when light shines on it. It shuts down.
The second question concerns the Timer.  Do you hook the + and negative leads to the battery or do you hook it up to the PIR 49-425 + and - leads.

It sounds like to me the Flood Light PIR is working properly,  when it's daylight, the flood light don't come on?

As far as the battery hookup, you can use one battery to run both the Timer and PIR
