If you give Canon a call on the 800 line in N.Y.,
they can help locate a shop closest to you that may have
them in stock. I did this and I was told there were some
at a photo shop in CT and they gave me the phone#.
I called them and sure enough they had them so I asked
if they could ship them and they said yes. So they are puting them aside and when my check gets there, they will
be on their way to me... I told them (Canon) about the web site and how a lot of people are looking for the Owls.
Give it a shot. Worked for me.

If enought people called Canon that might get the Cameras back into the stores like Walmart at a ''lower price''.  Demand/opportunity/profit in this time of the economy means a lot to Companies right now.

I think I just stumbled on a good source for camera's and thought I'd share the info.
http://www.amazon.com has electronics, but here's the kicker. They will also sell used stuff, like camera's.
I did a search and found this Owl Date camera for $44.88 http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B00...4280387-0512857
That web page has a link to "order it used". They advertise that the adverage price of a used one is $20. That sounds like a good deal to me.
