Lohmann sight vise

Picked one up recently in the wally world clearance bin for $11.00-  couldn't pass it up for that.  Anyone else use one?  Likes? Dislikes? Hints?

I like mine.  I use it both on my workbench and the range.  The plates on the bottom come off so you can fill it with leadshot to add weight.  They're a little on the low side for range-work so you may want to get a couple of wood blocks to boost it up a bit.

I've got one as well. For rangework it's not great at all, especially for bolt actions w/floorplate. It works for gunsmithing and such. I paid 15 bucs for it so can't beat it at that price.

I filled mine with lead shot in the bottom compartment and it helped. I still end up blocking it in with a couple sandbags at the range. It would help if they had added a couple more compartments for more lead shot. I give it high marks for when its time to clean out the barrels on a secure platform.

i cant stand mine.......but in the shop it holds the gun nice and steady while ya work on it. For the range i kinda like my Uncle Buds Bull Bag.......weighs 40lbs so i dont park too far away from the bench.

I've got on too. Filled it withlead shot, it helps. But to me it still seems kinda wobbly, you know with 3 legs it seems they could've done a little better. Still for the price, not bad

Mine reduces felt recoil some and is great for scope mounting and gun maintenance,but can shoot steadier from sandbags myself.

I checked out a Outters Varmit rest at the shop yesterday. It is a pretty good looking rest. Lots better (and cheaper) than the bench master. It swivels side to side and micro adjusts for height. I still like my Bulls Bag better but i might get one of these for prairie dogs.
