My cousin drew a Lone Pine antlerless tag and we are going to be scouting for the next couple weeks.

Does anyone have any tips on where to look ? That zone is pretty big.

I am going to try to find some different groups of elk there so we don't disturb the two bull tagholders if possible.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Alabama Gates.

Good a place as any.

also (or same place?)

The Manazanar Reward road. Going east to the river. Go past canal and second or third right. Head south. When you get into the big green grassy meadows start looking between you and the river. Mind the ranch properties and gates when you get further south. (Don't know the hunt boundaries and they may be too far north) but I remember that being a place they liked a lot. Ground toard the riover gets sandy and bumpy with old levees. Lots of places to hide a elk or many elks.
