Lone Pine - bull tag

Well, CA results were just posted and my buddy drew the only Lone Pine Period 2 rifle tag! Needless to say I am not missing this one.

Anybody have some public land suggestions for the area? Thank you!

Sit on the overlook by the Alabama Spill on the east side of 395, where it over looks the river and glass away. You can see a lot of area and will spot several elk from there everyday. Should be a good hunt with you being the only tag holder.

How many points did it take him to draw the tag?

Could have had a million points and it wouldn't matter. The tag is random draw. Preference points don't count. Just takes a whole lot of luck.

I assume that's why there aren't points listed on the annual harvest report?
