Looking for Opinions/Suggestions

Im looking to buy a spotting scope and was hoping for a little advice, and maybe even a recommendation on a scope that anyone has had a good experience with. Im looking to use it mostly while backpacking in, so the smaller the size the better, but at the same time im not that particular in the size category. Im looking mostly for something with relatively high power but still produces a crisp image, as im going to be spotting at long distances. My prices range is anywhere up to about $300, but depending on what my options are that number is relatively flexible. Any opinions are appreciated!

I been ripping up the nternet search engines looking and shopping and comparing brands and models and features. In that price range Simmons has a couple good ones. even the nikon 15-45X60 Sky and Earth model would probably be my first choice.
