In ventura county. Or Sespe area. Any help would be appreciated.

You might have more success looking for Bigfoot or Wild One then hogs. I never saw any hogs coming in off of Lockwood Valley Road to Grade Valley down to Mutau Flats and all around. If you read some of the hiking forums for that area no one has ever mentioned seeing a hog. Try the OHV roads to get familiar with the area and then hike in. Just don’t get stranded or stuck with you vehicle.

You might need to drive a bit north. SLO and Kern are two of the best counties for pig harvest. But 90% of pigs taken in California are on private land, and there's not a whole lot of quality pig habitat on the public land there. Cleveland NF has pigs and Carrizo Plain does (though I keep reading that it's dried up).

You can poke around a free version of GaiaGPS's public land viewer: Public Land (US)
