LOS BANOS, VOLTA, AND SALT SLOUGH DRAWINGS SET FOR RV PARKING SPACES FOR 2002 - 2003 WATERFOWL SEASON

Due to the popularity of leaving recreational vehicles at wildlife areas during the waterfowl season and the limited amount of parking space, drawings will be used to assign parking permits at Salt Slough, Volta, and Los Banos Wildlife Areas this coming waterfowl season. This is only for those persons who want the leave the recreational vehicle for a period longer than a weekend while they are hunting.

A total of 22 permits will be available for Salt Slough WA during this coming waterfowl season. Additionally, a total of 12 permits for Volta WA and 25 permits for Los Banos WA will be drawn.

When submitting an application for the drawing, list the following information: (1) hunter's name, (2) address, (3) telephone number, (4) the recreational vehicle license number and (5) which area you want a permit for (Los Banos, Salt Slough, or Volta). A copy of the current valid RV registration slip must accompany the application. If applying with a camper, use the pickup license number along with the brand name, model number, and serial number of the camper. A person may only apply once and the vehicle may be listed in the drawing only once. Only one application may be submitted for each recreational vehicle.

Mail the application to: RV Drawing, Los Banos Complex, 18110 W. Henry Miller Avenue, Los Banos CA 93635, or the information may be faxed to (209) 8261761.

Applications must be in the Los Banos Complex office by 4:00 p.m., September 26, 2002, to be included in the drawing. The public is invited to the drawing to be held on Friday, September 27 at 9:00 a.m. Successful applicants will be notified by mail with a packet including information on dates the recreational vehicle may be parked and necessary paper work.
