I have been going through all of the great photos on here and they are awesome. What type of lens is best for taking these cloe up shots. My best pictures are usually taken with the subject having to be so close to get any detail if that makes sense.

Keep on taking these great pictures

Lance,

Like Lan-Lord said, "welcome". There are a lot of awesome photographers on this site and when I see some of their pictures my jaw hits the floor.

I shoot everything with a 50-200mm lens and a Canon Rebel SLR.

I have always liked taking photo's and just really started getting into it in the last year and a half. If you want to be a better photographer, frequent this forum and asked quetions. The monthly contest has made me notice more and more objects as I am driving, hunting, fishing ect for a good picture. When I see what everone else submits for their entry it makes me think harder about what I can do with lightng, background and different angles of a structure.

Feel free to shoot me an email with questions about pictures or if you might need help with something to do with photography. I too am still learning, but always try to help and teach what I have learned.

Thanks, I have some nice camera stuff, i just don't know how to use most of it i guess. I will start asking questions since you don't mind. What setting is best when shooting outside, it seems like my pictures are grainy for some reason but i have taken some i thought were pretty nice before but few and far between
