I was wondering if anybody with experience had a few tips they wouldn't mind sharing. I snapped this picture of a bright leaf on my most recent Oregon trip. I really am enjoying my ne H1.
Her eis another attemp with Macro. I tried to catch the dew on the pine needles as an experiment on clarity.
It looks like the fore ground is blurred as well as the background. Looks like there is a sweet spot using the macro. Does this sound about right? What is Macros effective window/ range?
the foreground and background will be blurred, depending on the point chosen as the focus point. since you have a shallow DOF in macro mode, not much before and beyond the focus point will be in focus. Looks like focus was achieved on the trunk of the tree branch.
Nice leaf shot, I like the perspective and colors on it.
you may need to look into the "spot" metering option. Appears that you may have been in multi/matrix meter mode. Spot meter will allow you to precisely indicate what and where you want to focus/meter within your scene.
