I am just starting to scrounge the needed parts for my first trail cam.  I plan to use a 9.6 vdc battery that fits a Makita cordless.  The question I have is how is the connection made to the battery contacts? Are the wires soldered to the battery contacts or is there an adapter available?  If the wires are soldered does the battery still fit the charger? Thanks for helping out a beginner!

Just solder the wires to the contacts and bring them up along the battery. You'll have to melt or cut a slot in your charger for the wires. Won't hurt it any for other batteries. If you still want to see a picture check out Jesse's homepage. Have fun they are a blast. :)
