doing club soccer with the little girl and just got in!! i will not string you guys out , it was A BIG " 0 " FOR ME, 4 FOR
THE HOGS!! i did take my bow only this week and put some great stalks on some differnt groups of hogs.
had one absolute bomber at last light on thursday, had the wind and angle perfect got within the death zone
[which is 30yds for me] for no apparent reason,he lifts his head and bolts in a serious manner as if he had been
doing this for years!!,man the vapor trail of boar juice he left was some kinda stink i tell you as i followed up on him
to were he entered the brush line,i will not be able to hit it again until the turkey opener, i hope to run across
this guy again as he would be one worthy of the trophy room.had i had the old laser beam,[.270win] we
would be looking at some serious boar porn, but hey, what fun would that be ...
i have set the bar, i will be shoving a piece of aluminum thru that pigs vitals sometime in the very near future,
he will not get the 130grain aspirin
keep you posted after the turkey opener, hoping for a
double
nate you are correct sir,i told you dudes i am way old school, still shootin game getters in the 2317
logg version ,tipped with either a bear razor{without the bleeder blades] or a rocky mountain razor,
which ever comes out of the quiver first!!
Had a good trip down below SLO this past weekend. Saw lots of pigs, but chose not to shoot on day one, then blew a 180 yard shot with the .308 BAR on Saturday. I have no confidence in that rifle, and it tells on ya... the .325 came out next, but I guess the pigs got the news and disappeared before I could put the 200gr smackdown on 'em.
speck, they knew they were in a world of hurt when you pulled out the bang stick!!funny
how they have that 6th sense about um when they are gettin so close to metting thier maker
lots of green in the slo county this time of year , see any turkeys?i believe thier gonna be in world
of hurt come the opener
Hatchet, no turkeys on the property we hunted, but we definitely saw a bunch in the area. There definitely is a lot of green around out there, though. It's looking real good.
