Marble Mountain Elk

Guys...my buddy and I were lucky enough to draw tags this year and have located some good spots, but would love to have that one extra spot to keep in our back pockets. We are both backpack hunters and are not afraid to get miles away from any road/trailhead. I am concerned that 90% of the outfitters will be in the same area (NW side of the wilderness)...is that something I need to worry about or does the small number of tags spread people out enough so that it isn't an issue?
Anybody have any info they would like to share?

I know a guy that drew last year and had a pretty good hunt. He packed in with mules and was in there like 5 to 6 miles. He killed a 320 bull in there. I will try to get his phone # for U.

Call Bob Schaefer who is the unit biologist for that area with Fish and Game. He has some spots 530 459-3164. There are elk other than the places the guides go.
