Maui boar hunt?

I am going to Maui with my family in December. I am interested in going on a day hunt while there. I did some searching on the board but did not find much recent information.

Has anyone hunted Maui?
How does it work?
Who did you use for a guide?
Is bringing a gun a major PITA?
I could learn how to use a bow and save me some hassles?

I'd be open to goat or other animals too, if you have a recommendation.

There is one guide on Maui that does it the old way with a knife and a dog. I was looking to do the same when I was there last december and didn't have much luck. Not many guides around. They are more for the ATV and cattle ranching on Maui.

I honestly can't see myself wrestle and poke a pig. Of course, it would make the firearm travel a non issue.

Anyone else have any input?

I guess I'll be sport fishing only then?
