Anyone ever hunt public land in Maui? Specifically, zone 'A' near Oluwalu, or zones F & N2? Don't have any private land access dialed in yet, so this is what I'm working with. Haven't done a lot of pig hunting out here, but since I live here now it's time. Will be bow/rifle hunting.

Any feedback regarding this topic is helpful though. Thanks!

It was cool to find out that no licenses required in Hawaii. At least that's what it seemed like when I was there last summer. Didn't hunt but of course had to investigate. I am jealous of where you live though. Best of luck in putting many a pig in the ground.

There is a licenses required and you have to have hawaii hunter safety card and it takes about two weeks if you already have one from the the state you live in.

Getting a HI license is pretty easy, the folks there are great. Go to the HI Division of Forestry and Wildlife website, down load the exemption form and mail it in with a copy of your Hunting Safety. About a week or so later (Hawaiian time) you'll get a letter with an individual license exemption number. Use that number and buy a license on line. Then just print it out and enjoy the hunting. Save that letter and use the number each year you want to buy a license online.

License was $95 non resident last/this year.
