My first archery pig taken on the slopes of Mauna Kea over spring break with the family. Not a bad day...my toes in the sand in the morning and letting the arrow fly at the pork in the evening!
greg you murderer!!!! dude, that is fantastic!! its all down hill from here though now that you've picked up the bow...nothing quite like shuffing a piece of aluminum thru a hogs lungs.. kinda addicting... STRONG WORK BRO!!!
No umbrella drinks until after the hunt...gotta love rolling into the beach front resort in full camo! As an added bonus, my 8 year old son caught this nice Mahi the day before. Between all of the fishing and archery hunting, I was ready for some beach time.
If you do not mind me asking, whom did you go through for the hunt or did you just head out to the public land? My father in-law has a place in Kona, and am out there at least one a year but have yet to take my bow with me.
83Yota -- I hunted at Parker Ranch. It's a great property. I have hunted there a few times and have seen tons of pigs each time. I know that the Kona coast has a lot of pigs. A friend of mine owns a small coffee farm above the airport and pigs come onto his property every night. You should definitely bring your bow on your next trip. Good luck!
Good Job. I'll be back on the Big island soon enough. That some good stuff you posted. Congrats to you and your son on a succesful adventure. Hope to fling an arrow with you or another JHO some day on the Big island in the near future.
