Heya fellas!

There's probably already a thread on this but I'm too lazy this afternoon. So here it is...

I'm a bit delayed but everyone who has so far requested an app for the May hunt will be receiving it later this week or early next week. As usual, each packet only contains one set of application forms. If you have someone hunting with you as a party, please make copies of your application packet for the other members.

If you received an app for the January hunt and didn't return it, you can use the same application to apply for the May hunt. If you don't have the old app, I'll need you to send me another request. Please be sure to include the same information: Real name, mailing address, email, and phone number, as well as the number of people in your group.

Plenty of room left on this one. I'll take up to 50 hunters. We only have 19 apps out or completed.

Yup... sent all of them I have so far.

If anyone requested a May app and hasn't received it by next Tuesday, give me a call.

Any chance of a mid-June through mid-July hunt at Tejon? No, I don't mean a hunt that lasts a month, but a hunt that takes place some time during that period. I plan to make a couple trips to the mainland during that time period and would love to tag along as a non-hunter. I could meet some of you guys who have participated in my Big Island hunts vicariously and have a couple-three-four beers and help drag a pig or two up a 45 degree incline and hike over hills in 100 degree heat and celebrate my 60th birthday by having a heart attack and crapping my pants right before I cross over the Great Divide and meet my Maker.

On second thought, how about me tagging along and taking a few photos? It would be great to meet some of you guys from CA.

Any thoughts, Senor Speckmisser?

Mahalo and aloha.

Doc, as much as I'd love to work something out, Tejon stops the hunts in early June, and doesn't start again until December.

However, I'd be more than tickled to catch up sometime over a few beverages...hold the heart attack and pants-crapping, though. I'm guessing you'll probably be visiting down in SoCal, though.

Hey Spec: I know the days are around on the forums but dont recall, the last thing I read was that it was archery, is this a rifle hunt also? and can you give me the info, date, cost etc

Dates and info are in the pinned topics at the top of the forum. May 23-25 will be the last JHO/POR for the year, and that's the one we're kicking off right now. All of the other hunts are booked or completed.

This is an "any legal method" hunt. Rifles are recommended, but archery tackle can be used.

Please make sure that when you send your request for an application, you include the information I requested above, even if I've sent you an application in the past. My records from the last couple of years got dumped, so I do NOT still have your info.

The applications must go out in snail mail, and must be returned the same way. There is, currently, no electronic version.

Otherwise, please read the other information in the pinned topic http://www.jesseshunting.com/forums/index....howtopic=142514

Speck,

Those of us that sent them in for the January hunt that was canceled are still good and don't have to worry about anything. Is that correct?

Man I can not wait. Why did you have to bring this up?

Correct, Dan. I rolled you and your buddy, as well as Keith and Bob over to the May hunt, so you're already in business. At this point, all you'll need to do is show up in May!

Alrighty then... it's been a while, but it's update time!

First and foremost, I just sent out a big stack of application packets today. They should be coming in your mail box early next week. If you requested a packet and have still not received it by Wednesday (April 16), shoot me an email. As far as I can tell, everyone who has requested one has been taken care of. If you didn't get one, then either my email kicked yours out, or you did not send your request properly.

If you have questions or are interested in getting in on this hunt, at the very least read the first post in THIS THREAD. Better yet, after that one read the pinned topic in the top of this forum. Then do a search on "Tejon POR". If, after all that, your questions are still not answered, then you can shoot me an email. This is something like the fifth or sixth year in a row we've done this hunt, and I just can't imagine there's a single question that hasn't been asked several times... and every one has been answered in past threads.

Okie dokie then...all that aside...

Remember that I need your paid applications back to me by May 9, so I can get them to Barbara by May 12. Remember also there is no waiting list or "reserved" spots. Pay to play... but there's still plenty of room so come one, come all. Just don't waste time hemming and hawing.

If you're bringing a group of hunters, then you are responsible for making sure everyone in your group has an application packet (make copies for everyone), and that all of their packets are completely and correctly filled out, and everything that is supposed to be enclosed is enclosed (tags, proof of insurance, checks, etc.). Checks for the hunt are to be made to Tejon Ranch, and checks for insurance are to be made to Bob Boggs. DO NOT MAKE A CHECK OUT TO ME THIS YEAR. IF YOU DO, IT WILL BE RETURNED, ALONG WITH YOUR APPLICATION, AND YOU WILL NOT BE REGISTERED FOR THE HUNT. I WILL NOT COVER YOUR PERSONAL CHECKS THIS YEAR. TAKE YOUR TIME AND DO IT RIGHT... READ THE INSTRUCTIONS IN THE APPLICATION PACKET.

Speck, one more stupid question: What email address do I send my information for the May POR?

I am back for my 2nd POR.

Thanks.

I'd like to be counted as one for the May hunt too. Now I already have a Tejon app. that Barbara sent me. I figure it would be easier for me to send it in to her myself, or do I need to send it to you and you send it in with the others ? Let me know what works best for you and I'll get it in the mail.

Doc, send me an email, I have the spring pass and would be glad to get you on the ranch for a day or two. We could hunt some ground rats which is really just target practice and find the some pigs at first/last light.

It needs to come to me directly. We have a different application form for these hunts, but I can use the one she's already provided you.

TO ALL:

Please direct all questions to me. Likewise, all application forms, checks, etc. should be sent to me. Sending it to Barbara will confuse things, and may very well mean that you don't make the hunt.

Okie dokie...

I'm assuming that if you haven't contacted me by now, you received your application packet. (LoadSprayer and Mark, yours are on the way.)

I know May 9 doesn't seem all that far away, but it's coming fast. Don't miss out... this promises to be a great hunt, and it'll be the last big JHO group hunt for 2008.

I know its early still but how many we got going on this hunt so far/

I am already getting eager.

Plus, I can't wait to see that old, crappy Hronk carry my pig out of a canyon with his new GIMP/walking stroll.
