Communities across the Ozarks now have free MDC fishing equipment at their fingertips.
WEST PLAINS, Mo. – Public libraries in several communities in the Missouri Ozarks have partnered with the Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) to make fishing more accessible through MDC's Rod and Reel Loaner Program.
"Much like you would go check out a book at the library, now you can go check out fishing equipment and get started enjoying the outdoors as you fish with your family and friends," said MDC Angler Education Assistant Kathleen Wolf.
