KIRKSVILLE, Mo. — Processing a deer after you have harvested one is a great way to save money and achieve personal satisfaction. The Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) will host a deer processing workshop at the MDC Northeast Regional Office in Kirksville on Dec. 9 from 6–9 p.m. There is no cost for the program, but pre-registration is required.
The workshop will cover the process of harvesting a deer from the field to the freezer including skinning, quartering and the various cuts of meat. All necessary equipment will be provided.
