KIRKSVILLE, Mo. — Processing a deer after you have harvested one is a great way to save money and achieve personal satisfaction. The Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) will host a deer processing workshop at the MDC Northeast Regional Office in Kirksville starting at 6 p.m. on Nov 4. There is no cost for the program, but registration is required by Oct. 31.
The workshop will cover the process of harvesting a deer from the field to the freezer including skinning, quartering, and the various cuts of meat. All necessary equipment will be provided.
