How much you figger you've spent on gas and expenses on each of your forays to the Lake Sonoma area? How many trips could you make without getting a pig before you break down and get a guided hunt? I am going to start hunting the Los Padres National Forest, Santa Barbara area, pretty soon, so I know it could cost me a lot in gas & grub, but it is a lot more fun than working, that's a given.

Let's see one average weekend 2day hunt for pigs is $600.00.
For me that is 12 days of hunting lake sonoma, $50.00 per 260 mi round trip for me .....tra

The entire side in one afternoon? Damn you guys are moving. HAHAH Good Luck. I have been getting the feeling Iam moving to fast when I am out there. I know I have walked with in 40 yards of pigs and they held tight.

We started hunting before sunrise and finished hunting after sunset. We take are time, no speed raceing at all, I am almost 55! We hunted smarter not harder, chose good areas to hunt, then moved on.
