Me and Mamba at the Lake Yesterday

needed to get away from the holiday rat race of work and home yesterday so i played hookie with only 2 hr's sleep and drove for 2 1/2 hr's meet up with White Mamba at Lake Sonoma by 4:30 to try to wack some breakfest:stir pot: bacon.
the weather was perfect we hit the trails by 5 am and treked threw the the pitc black dark for over and 1 1/2 to get to a certian area that might hold pig's and after seeing some beedy eye's in the dark i kept looking over my back shoulder for any trailing mountin:skeered: lion. once we got to our area and legal light kicked in it was all good but no:hog chewingiggie's.
we covered a lot of mile's and only ran into a hand full of bowig-laughing::archer green:hunters so not bad at all.

Mamba could'nt do the afternoon eveing hunt so he told me a spot to check out that might be good. Thanks Mamba it was a nice:thumbs up2:spot to finish the evening hunt and a real nice veiw of Lake Sonoma, but no piggi'es showed up but it was all good.

i had a great day of bowhunting wild pig's on public land and will be back soon, Mamba we have to hook up again Bro, thanks...............tra

yeh, it was a great day out at the lake, i forgot to mention i did hit up the new outdoor archery course at lone rock, that was nice. i didnt see any miget hunters running around with a tree stand and a sack of corn either................tra

nice you guys put in some good time in , me and a few outer guys plan to get up their on Wednesday and hunt the back part of the lake then fish for trout/ land locked salmon after

Sounds like a good day.....and better weather than when I was last there. Good job getting out and trying.

Any new rooting on the archery range? There had been a lot of sign when I was up there last.

Kelly106, thanks bro! my passion and addiction and the excitiment for bowhunting wild pig's is solid and my day will come. but thats all i ever wanted once i became a bowhunter 17 years ago was something more challenging and exciteing then just picking of a game animal with a high powerd megga scopped gun at 300 yards, and now i got it i could'nt be happier successfull or not. have a great day and we will chat soon..........tra
