A happy report for the fellas. I got to chase pigs on friend's Monterey ranch over the weekend and bring the wife and kids to camp. They were my good luck charm this time. On previous hunts with the family I've returned with with a big fat nothingburger so it's so nice to have it all come together on the first night. I got a broadside shot on a healthy sow that my crossbow bolt could blast through. A different kind of hunt this time. I brought the regular bow too to see if I could take a pig with each but we didn't get any more opportunities. Nice though!

Good deal, SD!

I've been wanting to try a crossbow, but haven't been able to justify buying one yet. I think it'd be a fun way to shoot hogs. Wonder if it's legal for turkeys?

Now how do you work that deal where you shoot 'em and she skins 'em?

Speck I'm pretty sure it's legal for turkeys as a method of take in California. That would be interesting. Actually she had plenty to do with chasing the kids. I'm not sure why women care that kids eat dirt, but they do.
