Schreiner’s Deli in Montrose/LaCanada. They like it boned and bagged. He makes great salami and links as well as burger.

Re: Schreiner's. I have seen them listed elsewhere as being located in Glendale, but, you guys would know better than I. I just called them and their minimum is 25 lbs, de-boned.

Pomona Food Lockers out in...Pomona. They process anything and will skin the animal for you if you want. Does an excellent job and price is cheap.

Brees Meats in West Garden Grove, it is N. OC not LA, but they have been doing my stuff when I don't have time to do it myself for 30 years

Hottinger Family Meats in Chino, has done my last four deer. They did a great job at a very reasonable price.

My 2 cents.
Pomona food locker still in business but the dad retired and son now running it. Used for my elk last year and the quality of the work was not as good. Hopefully the son just needs more time and things will improve.
Hottingers is good but wild game is just a sideline to them. If they get real busy with their regular meat business (like around holidays), they'll stop accepting wild game till business slows down.

Schreiner's gave my buddies deer to somebody else(probably an employee or friend). When he went to pick it up they told him he already paid cash for it and picked it up. He had been going there for many years. So "someone" got a whole deer for the cost of processing it.

I have used Bree's meats before. They are hunter friendly and produce a nice clean product. They used to process all of the Hunters Against Hunger donations for the Orange County Chapter of Safari Club Intl.
