Found this today on a piece of property owned by a Public School system, still no sheds for the year, but it was nice to finally take some antlers home after a bunch of unsuccessful trips already this year. I've never seen this much rodent damage on any antlers found in our area before.

Still, I gladly scooped this skull up, big, small, old, chewed, if there's antlers, I'm hauling it home!

Here's some close-ups of the damage, unbelievable. I looked around to see if perhaps there was anything left of the left antler nearby and found nothing.

I found a fresh dropped antler last year that looked like that.

which side? Right or Left?

I'm assuming this deer was out there for at least 2 years, just like the last buck I found, this little guy was only a few feet from a stream, which leads me to believe a big chewer on this might have been raccoons looking for crawdads.
