Wow, I just found the posts from last year's Memorial day weekend hunt at Camp Roberts and it was nothing but bad news! Makes me think twice. Any last minute opinions out there for those who have been? Would FHL be a better bet? Has Camp Roberts changed any? It looks like it is going to be a hot weekend, might just hit the Lake for some fishing and wakeboarding....

i was there last year it was crowded at the gate but once in i only seen maybe 2 people all weekend the cop on the base was out in force but if you obay the laws then you are fine i dont drive around alot i mostly walk so thay didnt bother me much but i do remember some that were cited for speeding and seat belts but as far as the crowd they all spread out so unless you are in a spot along the river you probally wont see to many other hunters

I guess I'll see what it's like...should have a good time, it beats being home NOT hunting.

Hoepfully the pigs aren't concentrated on the rivers, because that is where I was going to try to avoid, hopefully I'll see some in the other areas.

Unfortunately, that is usually the case. The pigs come out of the impact zone(closed to all entry) at night, go to the river and return before the sunlight hits the ground.
This year with all the rain and food they could be anywhere...
