Here is a pic of my catch down in Mexico at San Quitine. We fly in my buddies plane, slam the Tuna and fly home the next day, it don't get any better then that. Yellow Fin and Yellow Tail.
A 100-pound sailfish out of La Paz. I was going to let it go, but the pangero wanted it for some kind of meatball soup he makes. The following day he returns with a big thermus of this soup. I never knew sailfish could taste so good. He said his wife mixes the meat with spices and makes fish meat balls that are added to the broth. Very tasty.
A nice rooster fish I caught off La PAz. I was also going to let this one go after hearing they do not taste good, but again the pangero wanted it. He says he mixes the rooster with yellowfin and dorado and makes some sort of fish hamburger. Never got a chance to try it.
