FISHING REPORT
Southeastern Lower
Lake Erie: Perch were biting northeast of E buoy, near Sputnik, off Stony Point at 23-27 feet and in Brest Bay. Smallmouth bass were biting at mouth of Huron River.
Lake St. Clair: Fair to good for perch.
St. Clair River: Good for bass.
Lexington, Harbor Beach: Salmon were biting.
Port Austin: Good for chinook salmon in harbor.
Saginaw Bay: Good for perch straight out from mouth of Quanicassee River and near marina at Sebewaing.
Southwestern Lower
New Buffalo: Salmon and steelhead were biting at 40-90 feet.
St. Joseph River: Good for smallmouth bass.
Holland, Port Sheldon: Chinook salmon and steelhead were biting at 80-100 feet in waters 200-235 feet deep.
Grand Haven: Salmon were biting at 60-250 feet deep. Steelhead and whitefish were biting near piers.
Grand River: Salmon were biting in deeper holes near Sixth Street Dam.
Muskegon River: Good for salmon near river mouth and near Croton Dam.
Northeastern Lower
Tawas: Chinook salmon were biting in mouth of Tawas River.
Oscoda: Limit catches of salmon were reported from pier and shoreline near Au Sable River mouth.
Harrisville: Salmon were biting at 8-30 feet.
Northwestern Lower
Ludington: Good for salmon and steelhead at 40 feet in waters up to 100 feet deep near Big Sable Point
Pere Marquette River: Salmon were biting, especially above Custer.
Manistee River: Salmon were biting from Manistee Lake to Tippy Dam.
Lake Leelanau: Bass and bluegill were biting.
Green Lake: Bass, bluegill and perch were biting.
Charlevoix: Salmon were biting at Medusa cement plant.
Boyne River, Bear River: Salmon were biting.
Upper Peninsula
St. Marys River: Salmon were biting.
Escanaba, Ford rivers: Salmon were biting.
Little Bay de Noc: Good for smallmouth bass near mouth of Day's River.
Big Bay de Noc: Excellent for smallmouth bass by Snake Island and to south.
Cedar River: Salmon and steelhead were biting.
