FISHING REPORT
Southeastern Lower
Detroit River: Walleye were biting at 12-15 feet near Celeron Island and at 30 feet near Wyandotte and the mouth of Lake St. Clair.
St. Clair River: Good for walleye near Algonac and Marysville and just south of Blue Water Bridge.
Belleville Lake: Fair to good for catfish, bass and bluegill.
Port Hope to Port Austin: Fair to good for lake trout and king salmon.
Saginaw Bay: Fair to good for walleye, including Pinconning bar, off Hoyle's Marina, the Slot and Callahan Reef.
Southwestern Lower
New Buffalo: Perch were biting at 20-25 feet just north and south of piers.
St. Joseph: Fair to good for perch near pier in late afternoon.
Lime Lake: Bluegills, perch and bass were biting in early evening.
Muskegon River: Fair to good for brown trout.
Lake Macatawa: Fair to good for panfish.
Northeastern Lower
Au Gres: Walleye were biting at 20-35 feet.
Houghton Lake: Bass and bluegill were biting.
Tawas: Good for walleye at 20-50 feet near buoys 2 and 4.
Oscoda, Harrisville: Limit catches for lake trout at 50-80 feet.
Grayling: Good for trout on Au Sable River.
Sturgeon River: Good for trout.
Alpena: Walleye were biting in evening near North Point and Grass Island. Also good for lake trout
Presque Isle, Rogers City: Good for lake trout, with some limit catches.
Burt, Crooked lakes: Fair to good for walleye.
Cheboygan River: Fair to good for walleye.
Northwestern Lower
Portage Lake: Good for bluegill, bass and northern pike.
Frankfort: Good for king salmon and lake trout.
Crystal Lake: Good for perch, smallmouth bass and lake trout.
Lakes Cadillac, Mitchell: Good for bluegill.
Lake Leelanau, Long Lake: Good for walleye.
Traverse City: Fair to good for whitefish.
Lake Charlevoix: Good for bass near Boyne City.
Upper Peninsula
Drummond Island: Walleye were biting at Maxton Bay.
De Tour: Good for lake trout and chinook salmon.
Cedarville, Hessel: Northern pike were biting all around Les Cheneaux Islands, especially at middle entrance to Musky Bay.
Little Bay de Noc: Good for walleye.
Big Bay de Noc: Good for smallmouth bass at Martin, Puffy and Ogontz bays.
Lake Gogebic: Good for smallmouth bass in shallows.
Brule, Paint, Iron rivers: Brown and brook trout were biting.
Keweenaw Bay: Good for salmon.
