Not a compact bino, medium if there's such a thing. I thought my Pentax was bright and clear but they don't compare to these! Crystal clear out to the edges, bright image, generous "exit pupil" This translates to not having to have the bino's lined up perfectly with your eyes to see anything.

Biggest benefit: They don't need to be focused. You adjust the dioptors for both eyes and your done. It is automaticaly focused to your eyes from seventy five yards out to infinity.
