As is typical with these EGG HEADED brainiacs this anthropologist Lyman is over thinking everything IMO. He even references whitetail deer as an example for what Elk need ??? An Elk is very different from a WT deer. He doesnt make much real sense with his theory of "one variable" throwing things out of whack. Just because a historical home range for Elk is in one area who says they cant thrive in another area as well. Things change over time, this guy is too smart for his own good. Typical academic, cant see the forest for the trees.
