So what do you think about this idea for a show?

Of all the filming I've done, waterfowl is the hardest. Fast moving targets while trying to stay upright in mud and keep the camera out of the water. And not flare birds.

It could be a great show. I would hereby like to volunteer to do the Grizzly Island episode. No refuge show would be complete without featuring my horrifying tailgate coffee and all those refuge warriors brave enough to drink it.

If it is presented in an instructional vein as well as documenting the good and bad of hunting a refuge then it would be good. There are more than enough "shows" and videos of "watch me kill stuff".

Each refuge has its own quirks and protocols and it would be great to get a feel for them before making a long trip. I knew/know a ton about where and how Mendota shot throughout the season when I was there most every weekend for several years. I never set foot on any of the Sac refuges and a show about them would be helpful.

They could set up a boxing ring in one of the popular parking lots at Mendota and film what goes on there. Kind of a Bum Fights in Waders thing. The road race each morning just to the parking lots would be nice filler.
