Waterfowl hunting reservations are available
Compiled by Tim Renken Of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch

People planning to hunt waterfowl on public areas in Missouri can apply for reservations now.
The easiest way to do that is via the Web at www.missouriconservation.org. The keyword for the search slot is "duckhunt."
The second-easiest way is via touchtone phone, 1-800-829-2956. It's even easier if you have copy of the Migratory Bird Digest, available from license vendors, and the number from your hunting license or Conservation Heritage card.
The waterfowl areas where reservations can be made this year are: Four Rivers, Ten Mile Pond, Eagle Bluffs, Grand Pass, Fountain Grove, Montrose, Otter Slough, B.K. Leach, Ted Shanks, Duck Creek, Schell-Osage, Marais Temps Clair, Bob Brown, Nodaway Valley, Little River and Swan Lake.
Information and location of those areas are in the department's Conservation Atlas, which can be purchased at the Powder Valley office in Kirkwood (314-301-1500).
You are more likely to get a reservation if you ask for the first available date rather than a specific date. And you can find out if you drew a reservation at the Web site or via the phone number after Oct. 4.
