Pulled a couple more cool game cam videos today from the "hog highway" game cam. Love the first one with the fat sow and her posse. (Yes, those are the same oranges from the last video, no need to comment...)

After a day of seeing nothing I was heading back along the valley floor thinking to myself "ya know, that rooting looks awfully fresh and I don't recall seeing it earlier today. Suddenly I spot a nice black and white boar rooting around about 75 yards ahead of me. The weeds are about 3' tall so I didn't have a clear view of him so I headed up the hillside to get some elevation and a shot. Unfortunately the wind was at my back and he must have gotten wind of me as he suddenly took off for the other side of the valley. I got off a few shots at him as he headed up the far hillside and might have hit him, but he disappeared into thick brush and was gone. Frustrating... I probably should have stayed put and let him come to me. Oh well...

I dumped the oranges there in December from a tree on the property and not a single critter has eaten them. Would have figured the hogs would have loved them and the deer would have too. Nope. Makes me wonder if something's wrong with them! Anyway they're not there any more, I got rid of them as they were just rotting and I don't want to give any impression of baiting in future videos I'll post from the same spot. This trail is on top of a ridge with valleys on either side - they spend their time rooting in the valleys so that's where I hunt.

What kind of game camera ya got there. I know its a primos but what model and how do you like it? I am looking to get one and doing my research but there are a lot out there and the opinions vary.

Its a Truth Cam 46. I like it as it's been reliable and takes good pics and vids plus lasts a long time with 4 d cells. With that said, I've since switched to Bushnell Trophy cams elswehere and LOVE them - very small so they fit in a pocket and batteries last forever (AA's). My most recent has a field scan mode to take time lapse pictures, I run it in the meadow to see how much activity there is during the day. Not much more expensive than the Primos and worth it.

WOW beautiful video. The only pics and vids from a game cam I have seen looked like a paranormal movie trailer. What model of the camera was it and how much if that's not ott personal? The big question really is can you give me the GPS that camera was at? No really I just want to look at how you mounted it and the area parameters such as wind weather foilage blocking view...... OK I just wanna shot one. I promise only one. I'll even share food and drink?? let you sit on my quad? Drive my truck???

Good site and great game. Looks like I need to go north more.
