Another video I picked up yesterday from "hog highway". The last one with the white markings is a regular that I've seen in other game cam pictures. Seems to be this group and another group of about a dozen all black hogs that come and go. Still eluding me though!

From what I've seen on the two cameras I have up there is little to no pattern of their behavior other than it's mostly at night. Daylight activity is almost random.

Wonder, are the pigs always traveling single file when on camera?

Be interesting to hear a description of the general immediate area, water sources, bedding areas, etc...................Don

Yes - the camera is located at the top of a ridge that runs thru the middle of the property There's a trail that crosses the ridge at that point headed toward BLM land to the west, and usually the hogs seem to be headed one way or the other with a purpose.

The property is basically two valleys with the ridge in the middle. The larger has a lake and a couple of ponds, with lots of oaks, smaller ridges, and scattered chemise. The smaller is mostly oaks and borders BLM land with thick brush. I believe that the hogs mostly bed in the BLM land and travel down to my land for food/water. There is rooting all over the property, but certainly mostly in the oaky areas and marshy areas near creekbeds.

Seems like you have a pretty good handle on their travels and terrain, so now its just a matter of picking the best intercept location for optimal cover and wind conditions..........my bet is you will have a pig out of this bunch before the end of the month..............Don

I run a few - the one that took the linked video is a Primus Truthcam 46. I like it quite a bit, good battery life and easy to use. Just kind of bulky. I also run a new Bushnell something or other - its tiny and the batteries last forever! The last one is a stealth cam, my least favorite.
