Dude, you are one lucky cat to be able to pound as much pork as you do. I assume you live near the central coast?

:chainsaw:so there i was, pondering the thought of catching a glimpse of a shooter boar[who am i kiddin, there all shooters!!!}decided to get to a high spot that i glass from usually in the early mornings,i did not get there until 2pm... after last weeks assasination i
was abit gun shy of the "canyon' so i decieded to hold up high and glass till dark,
at 5 pm,i spot a lone hog on the ridge line across from me,he's waaaaaay over there!!
i think for one second, then i say what am i thinking.. i start the descent into hells canyon!! i make my way over to the ridge line at about 5:30 or so, knowing i have about 40 minutes of shootin time left i start picking my way threw the oaks, awesome
time of year as the green grass and soft ground make for ideal stalks..as im working
my way threw, i look to my right and i see an absolute MONSTER BOAR on an ajacent
ridge line about another 800yds away, now when i say MONSTER im talkin the kind of hog you see ivory on as soon as you throw up the binos!!i switch gears and think, man ,can i get over there in time for an assasination attempt? just as i
take a step to head that way, i see my original target, he,s 60 yds away feeding and has no idea he is about to be engaged..im torn,do i pipe him and call it good or do i walk him and go after old long tooth???? i toss the binos up on the closer hog who is
all calico in color and see a good set of ivory.. i look cross canyon at long tooth and
confirm he is still there, he is jet black and walking slowly away.. i look back at the calico and make the call.. your number is up spot, i deploy the bi-pod on my
.300mag, click the safety of, and nessle the crosshairs of my 30mm kahles in the crease.. i bark one off and at the report of the rifle the trophy hits the dirt for his
final nap.. i look over my shoulder to see if old blackie is still there.. no luck' he's
high tailing it off the property into the thickest manzanita patch in california
and thats that.. i focus back on my quarry.. he's gone!!! W.T.F... i chamber another round ,turn my scope down to 3 and get ready for an escape attempt by the calico..
i round the corner expecting to meet my agressor..instead i am met by a long blood trail that goes into the 2nd nastiest manzanita patch in california!!i would much rather crawl threw chamise than manzanita, that crap does not give on inch!!
well, luckily,my trail was not far as he was piled up about 50yds in ,heart hit !! DAMN COPPER!! so after my final assesment, i was very pleased on my decision to shoot the calico as he was a hell of alot bigger than i thought, although still quite a youngster, this guy had some great genes... as for the monster blackboar on the
ridge line.....WE WILL MEET AGAIN MY FRIEND,I PROMISE YOU THAT!!!:chainsaw:UNTIL NEXT WEEK:toast-yellow:
