I ordered the set of videos as we will be hunting outside of the reservation. Does anyone have these videos that can comment on the content of the videos?

Yup, huge bucks....haven't seen the video series you're talking about but you can watch the Vincente Buck being harvested on the Jicarilla in LowLand mulies (either I or II...don't recall right now but think it's II). I think it was the largest buck taken at that time off the reservation in recent history.

where did you buy these videos? I haven't heard of these before.

Guys, i have been to the Jicarrilla probably 40-50 times. I have never hunted on the Res, but i have fished it all those times. Anyway, if your ever there at night and a snowstorm hits. Watch out while driving. There will be so many deer out along the highways you wont believe it. On one of those nights, I have seen about 4-5 bucks walk out in front of the truck that had 30 inch spreads. Not that impressive b/c many people have seen a 30 inch buck before. But i saw these in one 1 hour drive. In my time back home, i have learned that each year 20 non tribal members are allowed to pay the 11,500 price tag (via a draw) to hunt mule deer on the Jicarilla Apache Reservation. Usually, one or two of those hunters will put a buck in the book. That is what you are paying for. If you hunt it, you have about a 10% chance to bag a book animal. A large mule deer is one of the toughest trophies to obtain these days. Much tougher than an Elk or Antelope. The last i heard the Mule deer tag cost 11,500. The Elk tag was 5500. I am sure they have gone up since those numbers 3 years ago.

I got the videos from MM last night and watched Vol one and part of three. My gawd, those are some big bucks. Some state Fish and Game Departments could learn from how they manage their deer.

Yeah, that's about as good as it gets imo.

Well, azbiggame sent me this one to post but was without service @ my home computer while moving:
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div>
The "JIC" is some amazing place for MANAGED "BOONER" BUCKS.This Buck/Photo was taken on 12-04-98,in and around Los Quatis Basin. As You can see the date was a LATE "RUT" hunt, most important anywhere a hunter trys to harvest a Quality buck. This Monster,as You can see is a 6X7 and has an incredible 36 4/8 outside spread, and a 28 2/8  mainbeam. After all the high fives, screaming and shouting was over and a few Obsinitys, this BUCKS final score was a "233 4/8".[/b]

I don't think AZ will mind me leaving the location since it costs over $10k to set foot there at least with a rifle/permit in hand.
