My 08 sheds are on the head!

heres some pics of a pair of sheds i found in 08 that are rough set on the deer head. I got to take them home to play with and figure out how i want them set. I cant wait till he's done. hopefuly the cape matches the rack. the cape came off a buck that was killed within a mile of where I picked up the horns.

Very nice sheds! He will look good when he's done, no question.

I did my first shed buck a couple years ago. Now its my favorite one.

I'm no taxidermist so I couldn't tell you. I just returned it to the taxidermist to finish it up. The horns will be set real close to how they look in the pics.

They make a device for shedded antlers,so you can mount shed antlers and horns...it can adjust to any angle you want-VanDykes Taxidermy sells them.......I'm sure a few other places do too.
I might get my shedded mount redone like that too.
