I have always been interested in hunting, but I have never had the chance to go hunting. But last year, things changed.
I went to RSA for an exchange
A few month after my arrival in RSA, a friend invited me to hunt
mt. reedbuck on his farm.
To cut a long story short, after 2 days of hiking and stalking we finally managed to sneak up to a group of mt. reedbuck within 200m.
It took quite a while until we spotted a nice ram. My friend told me to aim 2inch higher, but having "buckfever" didnt make it easier.
Luckily i managed to calm down a bit, took a deep breath and squeezed the trigger.
The buck died in its tracks.
To be quite honest, I couldnt believe.... I was the happiest person at that time.
2 days later I got a call from my friend, telling me that the horns measure 7inch.
Anyway, herewith the picture of this nice buck.
Had a great time in RSA and lots of nice experiences.
Also took some sprinkbuck, warthog and common reedbuck.
I am definitely going back to RSA asap.
