My AR-10

I finally took my AR-10 out to the range. WOW is all I can say. I purchased a complete upper from R-Guns with a 24" free floating fluted stainless barrel, DPMS lower from JD designs and a Magpull stock. The glass is a Vortex Diamond back with a BDC. Once I got my 100m dope I went out to 200 made some adjustments. and started taking shots at the 300 and 400m steel targets. Well I was amazed that it was dead on no hold over needed out to 400. I am pretty inexperienced with the 308 so this may be common with the round. I hit accuratly out to 500-600 with minor hold over using the BDC. I cant tell you all how pleased I am with the rifle. If you are on the fence let me tell you it is amazing! I plan to use the rifle to hunt with. Any ways I had to share. My next build is going to be an AR-15.

Gotta love the lack of recoil over a bolt action too eh? I love my R25.

Ya the lack of recoil is awesome lol. My 30-06 with 180 grain kicks my butt. I am 230 pounds of man and that thing rocks the hell out of me. Good rifle Rem 700 with a lamenant thumb hole stock but man she sucks to shoot. This thing is amazing. I am just tickled with it.

I changed the buttpad on my Remmy 700 in .300WM and added a break...now it's tame as can be and a tack driver. Hated it before the mods...now it's sweet! Might consider an aftermarket pad and break.

How do you like that scope, I just got done building my AR 10 too but I got a Bushnell banner on there until I get some cash save up for a better one. The vortex seem like a good scope.

I really like the Vortex. I have the Diamondback deadhold BDC. Nothing to fancy cost about 250 if I recall correctly. If you can splurge they have better ones for around 400.
