17hmr in the back must have hit her spine. I bet shes full of alfalfa thats where they been eaten I never got close to this squirrel in that size before.

Yeah....don't shoot until the little ones are born...few weeks after that all the little juvenille squirrels will poke their heads out after you shoot and will leave them there making for a target rich environment!!!! More shootin' for everyone...

Best to hit a field for the first time in the spring with multiple rifles 'cause they wise up after a shoot or two....have shot close to 300 squeeks in a day that way.

But you shoot them when they are pregnant and you don't run the risk of missing the little ones, who become big ones in a short amount of time. One dead pregnant squirrel = 10-12 dead squirrels + 1 bullet.
