My first hog with a bow.

I had taken quite a few hogs with my rifle when I decided
to try it with a bow. I went out one morning and spotted 3
sows on the side of a hill, so I decided to try and get
closer when I got there this boar was in a little ditch to the
left of the sows. They decided to feed downhill to my right
so all of a sudden I was in the middle of them. The boar
looked up to see the sows feeding away from him so he
started towards them when he went by me at 10 yds. I was
behind a little oak tree, I let him go by so that he was
quartering away from me. He only went about 50 yds after
I hit him. He has 3 1/8" tusk and weighed about 225 lbs.

That'd be a nice boar even with a rifle. Doubly nice with a bow. I bet that was exciting as all get out!

Still waiting on my first bow kill. Maybe a turkey over the next couple of weeks... then it's time to get serious on the hogs again.

it was on a friend of mines ranch near springville.

Thank you wyokid. I work with a guy that lives in Springville and told me he has never seen a pig in all the years living there. I have seen them many times near there and wanted another person to verify I wasn't seeing things
