My Sony just paid for itself

Actually it paid for itself a while ago, but never in one lump sum. A friend of mine needed some affordable wedding photographs, so I gladly agreed to shoot some photos of him and his bride. All photos were taken at Baylor University, where they went to school and met..

Here are a couple of my favorites:

I'd appreciate any feedback, comments, or tips.. The 2nd half (reception) is in a couple of weeks. I learned alot on this first shooting, I'll probably have some more to learn at the next shoot also.

Here is a tip....Tell the groom to RUN AS FAST AS HE CAN & Get that big flower outta his pocket.

No just kidding. The pics look great. Good Focus! I really like the first one. Make each picture different than the same old wedding photo. That first pic has great character with the brick pillars and all. One suggestion, when doing a reception make sure that you get a photo of everyone that attends. Espicially relatives taht they may not see for a long time or ever again. I love the pics of my grandparents and my blushing bride. (Maybe grandad was goosin' her in the pic) Those are the pics I cherrish!

Have fun and better yet catch the moments that they are too.

I'd also be happy to critique any bridesmaid photos you can post, from the bachelorette party perhaps?

Chris, very well done! I too agree about the shot of the hands, very tasteful!

I have seen some very cool pics of the bride/groom in b/w, just something to think about.

Maybe your sony will pay for a new Canon

Thanks for the comments guys. Sorry BC, no bridesmaids for ya.

I've been a big fan of b/w wedding pics.. but the amount of time doing post processing is more time than I have right now.. Has anyone ever used photoshop actions? they automate common tasks.. I use actions alot. as soon as I get a good b/w or sepia action I will try to automate a batch b/w series.

Actually Zach, I was thinking about letting a Canon "pay for itself"
