Had an unusual visitor first thing this morning. We have a lot of grey squirrels, but not too many in the black phase… of course I couldn’t get a pic with him/her facing me…

Went to the river to see if the usual suspects were there…

We had some sun, but it was pretty dark most of the day…

I couldn’t figure out what was stirring up all the gulls out in the harbor (a lot of noise in the image, I didn’t bother changing my settings)…

And then I saw what had them all worked up. Out in the distance a coyote was trotting across the ice, probably looking for a dead gull or duck. It’s a bad image and the coyote is pretty far away (how I wish I had a 600mm f/4L)… I’ve seen plenty to know that is what it was…

I caught this young one as it went over the top of a small hill…

Almost walked right up on top of this one…

And this is probably where I should have been instead of taking pictures…

nice ones. Its amazing what good light can do for a photo. The mallards in the sunlight looks great. I like the deer shots and last mallard too.

These are from this morning (Mon.), I didn't want to start another thread... This eagle has been hanging out at the end of my street for about a week and a half now, hopefully I'll be able to get a decent pic soon.
